We started the day in Bishop, California, located about an hour north of Independence, where the courthouse they married in has been standing since 1922. We had a few laughs and took a few shots (photos, not tequila) in front of their home before heading south together. On the way down, we chatted about their love story, how they met and plans for the future.

Paul's parents met us in Independence. Altogether, it was just the bride and groom, his folks, myself, and their dog, "Reason," to witness the ceremony. It took place outside under a giant Cedar of Lebanon tree.

Danielle wore a simple lace wedding dress and a display of wildflower tattoos etched across her arm. A bouquet of dried flowers to match her art.

We drove west toward the Sierra. The afternoon was dreamy and cool. The not so common cloud coverage created a beautiful diffused light perfect for midday photography.
